Comments : William Croft of Prahran in Melbourne bred Cairn Terriers in the 1950s. He was very successful at the Royal Melb Show in about 1956. His main breeding male came out from the UK in a cage on the deck of a cargo boat.

Comments : I'm hoping I might find a pair of cairn terriers in need of a home. I'm in Perth WA, and have been so fortunate to have had 4 cairns since 1997. 2 separate rescues (in Canberra), and then a brother and sister from the same litter (from a recognised breeder in Bonython in southern Canberra; her name escapes my terrible memory) who I brought with me to Perth in 2002. And now I find myself on my own once again, my pups' ashes are going to be broadcast into the Swan River, along with my late mother's ashes; she walked the dogs along the river for years, and they became quite a well-known and recognised trio; the irascible yet deceptively endearing little old Scottish lady with the two Scottish dogs 😌😢🙏🏼. And while there are many rescue dogs in need of their Forever Homes, I really would like another pair of neatly scruffy, jaunty and feisty Cairn Terriers. Cheers and thanks, I enjoyed your site 🥂👍🏼

Comments : My partner recently lost his best friend, a 14yo Cairn terrier X. We would love to find a rescue or post-breeding dog (or bitch) as opposed to a puppy. Cross breeds okay. This dog will be LOVED. He will go to work each day on residential building sites and to the office. He will have a border collie to play with when not at work. If you know or hear of anyone ... I would like to as well.

Comments : just got a bitch pup Robert had bred , relinquished by its original owner beverly due to personal reasons.. have only had her home for 2 days .. barely barks , has a smile from ear to ear constantly.. just gpt to stop her weeing inside ... otherwise .. all good.. love these little dogs to death !!
